On Sunday 15th August we had such high hopes of enjoying an open air songs of praise service on Doreen’s land at Swarland, in the sunshine and actually being able to sing openly without masks.
It was going to enable those who couldn’t normally come into church to join in person and then to enjoy the comradeship of a picnic lunch together – but it wasn’t to be! The rain came down and all the arrangements had to be changed at the last minute.
We all decamped to the church and, following our service, enjoyed our picnic in the hall! At least we were warm and dry! Our many thanks to Doreen and Julie for all their organisation and, hopefully we might be to re-arrange before the autumn.
