Alnwick Flower Festival made a welcome return this year from 4th to 7th August.

The theme this year was ‘Give Thanks’. The festival was a joint venture between St Paul’s Church and St Michael’s Church but other churches, organisations and various individuals all played a part in putting together 37 displays.

Some people sponsored a display to ‘Give Thanks’ for a special occasion or event.

St James’s display was on the theme of the URC’s 50th Jubilee Year. Madeline and Marillyn did a fantastic job with a wonderful display of, not only superb flower arrangements, but factual information for everyone to read.
