Little did we know this would coincide with STORM  ARWEN! We’d just finished cooking the Pizzas when the power went off, and the emergency lighting came on.  One way of finding out it works!  A fun time making mats with Hama Beads, then hot chocolate and biscuits before heading for sleeping bags and teeth cleaning by torchlight! Fortunately the water in the boiler had stayed hot enough! Luckily the power was back on the following morning, but in discussing the wild night, the Brownies agreed we had done the sensible thing in staying put. They all definitely deserved their “I’ve had an Adventure” badge.  A Sleepover not to be forgotten!
